KMA & Associates opened its doors as independent furniture manufacturer representatives in 1987. Childhood friends Ken M. Alterio and Tim Byce built a collection of manufacturers that were superstars in their individual categories, which is a mantra that continues today. Their business model focused on operating with urgency and accuracy to help clients navigate the commercial furniture world to arrive at the most appropriate furniture specifications for almost any project. KMA doesn’t represent every manufacturer, but we do represent the standouts through a curated line-up of factories that are some of the best in their categories.

In 2019, Todd Irwin went from client to owner. In the industry since 1993 himself, he watched how KMA became the best independent furniture manufacturer representative group in the market and knew that KMA was something he wanted to be a part of. With its reputation and a tenured team intact, KMA continues to serve clients with a strong lineup of innovative products, a beautiful showroom, and that same sense of urgency and accuracy.
